Got a sense of originality? Known for going against the grain and embracing what most would consider different? Well then Kreemo clothing brand is defiantly for you. I’m sure you’ve seen their ghost pens all around the net, or their very dope art work on some of the biggest hip-hop blogs sites around. Kreemo embraces innovation and pushing the boundaries of limitation. Even though Kreemo Businesses goes from video production, graphic arts, and event hosting, i got a chance to interview Desmond Attmore(Co-Founder & Marketing Director) about their popular clothing line. Read the entire interview after the jump and be sure to check out http://www.kreemo.com/ and grab some clothes, their winter line is coming soon. Oh and shoutout my dude @TheFaShLifeSNKL
Yoh:First off I want to welcome Kreemo to TheTapeDeck.Net. How about we start with a little background on the brand. How’d you guys meet and the meaning of “Kreemo”.
Desmond:I met Brian Wright during my freshman year at Morehouse College where we currently attend school. One day we ran into each other during the first week of school and as we began to converse we noticed we had a lot of the same interest; fashion, art, entertainment etc. I met Lavan Wright, our other partner, in NY through Brian during our first Christmas break and we all started brainstorming on ideas and concepts and things just took off from there. LaVan and Brian are actually cousins. The name Kreemo is derived from a psychiatric home in Queens, NY called Creedmor. Kreemo represents what others may call “crazy”. Sometimes people think you’re “crazy” when you go against the way things are normally done. We always say Kreemo is made for those people who separate themselves from the average Joe. That’s why our tag line is “beg to differ”. We don’t follow the status quo.
Yoh: How many different logo’s did you go through before choosing “the ghost”?
Desmond: Brian & Lavan always had the concept of the ghost but they just changed it around a few times before it was finally complete.
Yoh: What would you say is the biggest inspiration for your brand?
Desmond: On behalf of me and my partners I would say one the biggest inspirations on the Kreemo brand would have to be growing up in NYC. We were always around fashion and art. I remember in high school I would go to Soho alone and just check out different stores and boutiques. Sometimes it was hard to leave because that’s how entertained I was.

Kreemo Bulls
Yoh: Other than Kreemo is there any other brands out you guys like to wear?
Desmond: We like and respect a lot of brands out there who’s just bringing something different to the game, you know. That’s what it’s all about.
Yoh: Kreemo is always apart of any art/music events in ATL. In 2011 what would you say has been the most memorable event you’ve attended?
Desmond: I think the A3C Hip Hop festival was the highlighted event so far. For one, our artists Curtis Williams, FatKidsBrotha & Retro Sushi performed and we got the chance to network and introduce our brand to a large demographic of people. People showed us a lot of love at that event.
Yoh: You guys show the hiphop community alot of love. Who are some of your favorite artist and albums that has came out this year thus far?

Kreemo Ghost
Desmond: Wiz Khalifa Rolling Papers, jay Z & Kanye West Watch The Throne
Yoh: Gonna name a few artist and describe how it was meeting them. Kid Cudi, Lupe Fiasco, and Wiz Khalifa
Desmond: Kid Cudi is a real chill and personable guy. When we showed him our work he was amazed and talked to us for about an hour.
Lupe Fiasco: I remember when Lupe walked into his dressing room and saw the actual banner of the design we did for him. He stared at it for a while then said to his management “make sure that gets shipped to my house asap.” We met Lupe several times on different occasion and overtime he seems to give us some words of wisdom and inspiration.
Wiz Khalifa: Man, Wiz is probably one of the coolest celebrities we know. One day we met up with him at Tree Sound studios in Atlanta and we just kicked it for a few hours. He told us how much he respected what we were doing and how Kreemo is going to be huge. We never ask Wiz to wear our clothing; he wears it because he genuinely likes it. We see Wiz all the time and overtime he just shows us love.
Yoh: Out of all your designs which would you say is a personal favorite?

Kreemo Dropout
Desmond:The Kreemo Ghost is my favorite. It’s different and it usually grabs people attention.
Yoh: If you guys weren’t involved with Kreemo and fashion, what other careers would you be pursing?
Desmond:Me personally, I would be doing some type of creative marketing for a major entertainment company. Actually, I think all 3 of us would still end up in entertainment some kind of way; it’s just in our blood…
Yoh: Do you think social networking plays a huge role in the popularity of Kreemo?
Desmond:Social Networks definitely helps us to promote and advertise our brand to a large amount of people in a small amount of time for free. Twitter and Facebook have helped us to gain awareness and increase sales. I mean in today’s game, if you’re not utilizing social networks then you’re really not a major player in ANY industry.
Yoh: What does success mean to Kreemo and where do you see the brand in the next 5 years?
Desmond:Success to Kreemo is doing what we love to the Maximum no matter the circumstances. Of course we want to make money just like everyone else but true success is to wake up every day doing something that you have a passion for. Kreemo is successful every time we receive a tweet or email from someone letting us know they’re feeling our brand and love what we do. In 5 years, I see Kreemo at the top of our game! We’re going in hard and we came to win…
Yoh: Want to thank you guys for the opportunity, best of luck in the future. All I need is the link to your website, social network information, and any shout outs you might have. Kreemo is always welcomed here @ TheTapeDeck.
