This was a nice time for all, as we’re always happy to have someone who’s as talented as Big Sean is to come and show us how it’s done, lyrically. He’s one of the most intelligent and creative freestyle lyricists we know, and it’s a pleasure to hear him spit bars.
One of the things most impressive things about him is that whether you’re following every word he says or not, his speed is crazy. You’ve not seen anyone think this quickly, whether you’re a rap artist or a poker.de player. It was an impressive display of rhyming ability, and we’re sure Cosmic Kev would be more than happy to have Big Sean drop in again.
Chad Hugo of The Neptunes has created a remix to one of Lupe’s best tracks in the recent years.

If you haven’t noticed by now, Jay Electronica does his art at his own pace, with his own set of rules, and his train is always right on schedule. With a DYI approach, Jay Elect has released mixtapes and singles, created artwork and sometimes videos for them, all himself to establish and hold one of the most remarkable buzzes in Hip-Hop’s history. So much in fact that there was a bidding war to sign him and he still till this day has never released an “official” project.
So it’s no surprise then that, after taking a week long trip to Kathmandu Nepal in the fall of 2009, these Decon produced and Jason Goldwatch shot videos (part of a suite of them) were never approved by Jay, who had already made a video for “Dimethyltryptamine” (a great one, see that below), a song that he says is based on a dream he had.
Well, long story short, this is Goldwatch’s vision for what a video for this song might look like, shot on location, and I’ve been sitting on it for over a year and half. People have really enjoyed it when I’ve shared this, now you can top. Posting this in recognition of May Day tomorrow, for all the people who worked hard to create these videos, part of larger project that spans the continents. – okayplayer
